CERTIFICATE COURSE

OBJECTIVE: Learn the basics of a Class B or Bus vehicle. Students will learn all the requirements specific to the type of vehicle chosen and will leave the course with a vehicle specific training certificate.

WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS COURSE: Students that are interested in driving a straight truck or passenger bus.

NOTE: All applicants will be contacted by a representative upon the scheduling of class. Walk-on students will be turned away as seating is very limited.

PROGRAM SYLLABUS

A. COURSE DESCRIPTION
Designed for those students who wish to obtain a Class B CDL license for straight trucks and or passenger buses. This course is typically 3-5 days, 3-6 Hours per day.

B. METHOD OF INSTRUCTION
Student is assigned online theory courses/given FMCSA materials for review. Student will be taught 1 on 1.

C. COURSE OBJECTIVES
1. At completion, students will be licensed to drive passenger buses and or Class-B trucks, e.g. cement and dump trucks, utility vehicles, etc. In order to drive both Class B truck and buses, students will be trained and tested on a coach bus and a straight truck.

2. Includes 22 hours of online/lab courses and 15 hours of behind the wheel.

D. COURSE TOPICS/UNITS AND DATES
WEEK 1 Student will learn pretrip inspections of this type of vehicle, basic safe maneuvering. On road skills and road driving. Student will be prepared for the States CDL Final Skills Exam.
